This renovation focused on addressing two practical needs while maintaining a clean, cohesive design that fits naturally within the home.

The family required an additional full bathroom and a dedicated workspace, both of which meant rethinking how the existing layout was being used.

The original bathroom configuration was unusual. The WC was particularly long, while the sink had been installed outside the room in the hallway. This arrangement was inconvenient and did not make the best use of the available space. By reorganizing the layout, the WC was converted into a complete bathroom. A shower was added and the sink was relocated inside the room where it logically belongs, eliminating the awkward hallway sink and creating a much more functional and comfortable space.

The couple also needed a place to work from home, but the apartment had no designated office area. Unable to sacrifice room space, we thought creatively to find a solution. By removing an unnecessary wall, the hallway was widened just enough to accommodate a built-in desk and shelving.

What was once simply a passageway now serves a dual purpose. The couple has a dedicated workspace where they work side by side. A custom bookcase completes both the look and the functionality of their home office.

Projects like this show how small spaces can offer surprising opportunities when the layout is carefully reconsidered. By questioning existing assumptions about how each area must function, overlooked or underused spaces can often be transformed into highly practical solutions.

Customized design plays a key role in making these transformations successful. Built-in elements, thoughtful proportions, and careful planning allow every centimeter to serve a purpose, creating spaces that feel natural, efficient, and tailored to the way the family actually lives.
