From my first conversation with Rivka, I knew this project would be meaningful. A spirited senior who had recently made aliya from Britain after becoming a widow, Rivka needed her apartment renovated on a tight 2.5-month timeline before moving in. The project began just after the October 7, 2023 tragedy. These events underscored Rivka’s desire for a bright and cheerful kitchen.
She requested distinct meat and dairy areas, easy upkeep, and, most importantly, senior-friendly safety features. Her cherished kitchen table from Britain also needed to stay.
Working within a compact L-shaped layout, we prioritized safety by incorporating induction cooktops with automatic shut-off, for meat and milk, and under-counter, well-insulated ovens, to reduce burn risk.
We also fit a 50 cm pantry for added storage. Blue lower cabinets and soft “Sahara” white uppers reflect Rivka’s love for her new home in Israel. The same Caesarstone was used for both counters and backsplash to create a seamless look with minimal grout lines to simplify cleaning. Comfortable hardware ensures ease of use.
This kitchen blends function with beauty and peace of mind, designed to support Rivka’s next stage of life.
Rivka’s testimonial says it all:
"Tsivya Fox-Dobuler is an interior designer whose work is very professional. She is also a pleasure to work with.
She listened to my needs and desires and provided good ideas and advice when I hired her to design my kitchen and oversee my apartment renovation.
Tsivya offered important information concerning “little details” that made all the difference.
She held my hand throughout the process and was friendly and kind. The end result is that I now have a lovely and functional kitchen and home. I am very happy to recommend Tsivya."
